Hello there. I am Sumit. I am a Software Engineer by trade and play the role of Technology Leader to help teams. And this is my little digital garden on the Internet.
I have been coding since 2008 starting with Visual Basic 6 (those were the days - huh?) and learning the basics of SQL. Since then I have dabbled in Python during my university days and eventually starting a career when SPA and Node was all the rage. Since then I have done React (not a fan anymore though), Java, Kotlin and a bit of Go. Now I am mostly doing Kotlin, Java and getting deeper understanding of Go. But infrastructure and culture of DevOps is what I have really loved for the longest time. I enjoy designing systems that are simple and scale well. I currently work in Vistaprint as a Distinguished Software Engineer, and am involved in building Search. I dabble with Rust and my homelab over the weekends.
